The PGA West Palmer Private Course is the site of many historic golf wins. In 1999, David Duval won the Bob Hope Classic with a course record of 59. This tournament also turned out big winners like Mark Wilson in 2012, Bill Haas in 2010, and Phil Mickelson. Arnold Palmer won the championship five times on his private course and was followed by single winners Jack Nicklaus and Fred Couples.
The Palmer Private Course is a beautiful site set beneath the Santa Rosa Mountains with five finishing holes strategically placed. Golfers enjoy playing around five lakes as well as an in-play canal. And the course has challenging greens and multi-level fairways. A golfer or two has lost patience with the water hazards on this course’s rolling hills. And watch out for the holes that require blind shots.
The Palmer Private Course is one of six legendary courses at PGA West and one of three private courses. This resort offers 2,200 acres of championship courses. There are three private and three public courses as well as three clubhouses, tennis courts, and fitness centers. This ultimate golfing community has 109 holes of golfing action and many clubhouse amenities like gourmet dining. And even nonmembers can take advantage of some of the perks including playing at the Nicklaus Tournament and TPC Stadium courses. The Golf Academy is also open to guests.
PGA West has been building its homes since 1984 and is surrounded by a variety of single family homes and condominiums to suit any lifestyle. The 3,000 homes and condominiums that dot the landscape have varying pricing dependent mainly upon home size & view. Besides the beautiful desert outdoor living, residents enjoy special night landscape lighting. Homes offer open floor plans for entertaining both indoors and outdoors. These spacious lots feature breathtaking mountain views and peaceful living as well as security.
